I had to come back and find this post… Went to my family’s very evangelical church today (because it’s Christmas and it makes them all happy), and I was pleasantly surprised to find the message was on the Magnificat… until the pastors exegesis stopped at the 3rd verse. His key takeaway is that God is (1) saviour and (2) mighty. Entirely ignored the good parts. Classic.
